Hailing from Pacific Palisades, CA (yikes), Stella has been a lover of music since she was a wee little girl. She joined the Los Angeles branch of the National Children’s Chorus (NCC) as a ripe first grader and has continued to sing since then, even after quitting NCC to play volleyball (we don’t have to talk about it). Even as a bench warmer for the volleyball team, Stella committed herself to school choirs throughout middle school and high school, and in high school, she joined a student-run a cappella group. Like many ‘Mates, Stella dabbled in theater growing up, and her high school theater career even led her to cross paths with perfect baby Willa (Pali Strong!) in a production of Oliver!
At Tufts, Stella is majoring in Climate Science, and she has partaken in department research on the ice-ocean interface (obviously). When she is not at ‘Mates rehearsal, you can find Stella running on the Somerville Community Path, in the practice rooms with bandmates, or hanging out with her amazing friends. Oh and in case you didn’t hear her after bringing it up every two seconds, Stella studied abroad in Copenhagen last spring and had the opportunity to travel to Greenland. But most importantly, Stella’s favorite fun fact about herself is that she is lucky enough to call herself a ‘Mate. One may say she still has no ******* idea!
