George Musto
Mate #230
Hometown: West Hartford, Connecticut
Pronouns: he/him/his
Major: Biology
George Musto is from West Hartford, Connecticut and couldn’t be happier to be singing with the Mates! His first real memory of singing was in choir in 3rd grade singing “Fireflies” by Owl City and he has kinda never stopped. Constantly singing around the house has been one of his greatest joys and his family’s greatest annoyance.
He got more serious about music once high school rolled around. His choir was his most supportive community in high school, and in junior year he was lucky enough to go abroad and perform with them in cathedrals in Italy and France. He even dabbled in barbershop, forming a very casual quartet with some friends senior year! Towards the end of his senior year in high school he also started slowly learning guitar, which (besides the briefest stint on trombone) is the first instrument he has learned and he is really enjoying exploring music in different ways! While he has never done a capella before now, he could not feel more lucky to get to sing with all of the wonderful, kind, and ridiculously talented people in the Mates!
At Tufts George is interested in majoring in biology with a potential Earth and climate science minor. Outside of singing, he loves to read, play squash and pickleball, run, and eat pizza with his friends!
