Elisa hails from Westfield, a charming town in Central Jersey (yes, it does exist). Although she prides herself on being a Jersey girl, Elisa is originally from Vincennes, France and immigrated to the US with her family at the age of nine (but please don’t ask her which place she likes best, because she’ll just babble about how there’s no way she can chose between a croissant and a bagel). Her European side comes out in unexpected ways: notably, her love of fancy cheese and inability to count change no matter how hard she tries (WHY is the dime smaller than the nickel?).

Elisa has been making music for what feels like her entire life. It all started with a brief stint as an oboist, quickly followed by her family begging her to PLEASE stop that god awful noise coming from her room every day and try using her voice instead. And the rest was history! She was cast as Oliver in her first musical, made her parents cry when she sang “Where is Love”, and has been involved in countless plays, musicals, choir and acapella groups ever since.

Elisa is studying Biology and Child Study and Human Development and is on the pre med track. Outside of the mates, you can find Elisa running through campus (but NEVER up the hills) and talking to anyone who will listen about her obsession with cows. She also organizes with MARCH at Tufts to raise awareness for maternal and child health disparities. She is so excited for all the fun to be had with the Mates and can’t wait to never stop singing!
