Amy Sokolow

Mate #189, Business Manager

Voice Part: Soprano

Hometown: Lynnfield, Massachusetts

Solos: I Wish, Water Under the Bridge, I Want You Back

Major(s): Film and Media Studies and Sociology; Entrepreneurial Leadership Studies Minor

Bio: After many failed attempts at other pursuits (figure skating, soccer, tap dance, and tennis, to name a few), Amy is pretty sure she has found her niche in singing. Especially because she is scared of balls flying at her face in athletic pursuits.  (And she can sorta hold a pitch.)

Being the good Jew that she is, Amy previously sang lead vocals and played guitar in the Jewish band, Sababa (cool in Hebrew). She was also a bona fide "chorus kid," who participated in her high school's Chamber Singers and concert choir, all the school musicals, and her high school's a cappella group, Sweet Treble.

When she isn't screeching out high As in some sort of choral context, Amy enjoys naps that last precisely twenty minutes, peppermint stick ice cream, "How I Met Your Mother" (minus the last season), and talking to her puppy on FaceTime, even though she'll never understand the concept.

Amy is so excited to be a 'Mate, and looks forward to three years of crunchy harmonies, singing in fields at 2 a.m., and the general craziness that comes with being a member of this group... because apparently she has no idea.
